What is a plumbing certificate of compliance?

If you are looking at selling your property, whether it is a commercial or residential property you will need to have a Plumbing Certificate of Compliance. These Certificates have to be issued by Licensed Plumbers who will certify that plumbing installations comply with all regulatory installation requirements.

The certificate must certify that the water instillation on the property is in line with municipal and building guidelines.

Just some of the aspects that will be checked:

• No storm water is being discharged into the sewer system
• The water meter registers use
• Checking for leaks on your property
• Water pipes and fittings are stable
• No cross-connection between greywater or groundwater and the potable supply
